Collin County, TX — March 26, 2024, John Shiflett was injured in a motorcycle versus car accident just before 9:45 p.m. along Country Club Road.
According to authorities, 56-year-old John Shiflett was traveling on an eastbound motorcycle along Parker Road approaching the Country Club Road intersection when the accident took place.
Officials indicate that, for as yet unknown reasons, a westbound Kia Sportage on Parker Road attempted a left turn onto southbound Country Club Road at an apparently unsafe time, failing to yield the right of way to eastbound traffic. This resulted in a collision between the Kia and the motorcycle.
Shiflett incurred suspected severe injuries due to the wreck; he was transported to a local medical facility by EMS in order to receive necessary treatment. An 18-year-old woman from the Kia also reportedly sustained minor injuries.
