Mesquite, TX — June 27, 2023, at least one person was injured as the result of a semi-truck accident at around 1:50 p.m. on the LBJ Freeway.
Current information provided by local authorities indicates the collision happened along the northbound lanes of I-635 near Military Parkway just east of Dallas.
According to initial statements, the crash involved a Chevy Camaro and a semi-truck. Details are not entirely clear at this time, but statements in the news suggest that witnesses saw the semi-truck “hit” the Camaro. This caused the Camaro to catch fire.
One person from the Camaro reportedly had serious injuries and was taken to a hospital in apparently critical condition. That person has not yet been identified. There were no other reports of injuries at the time of writing.
Authorities have not yet said who was at fault nor did they indicate if there were any charges or citations being considered. Additional details are pending further investigations.
