Commentary by Attorney Michael Grossman
Folks would be surprised how challenging it can be to properly investigate single-vehicle wrecks. They can involve things like mechanical issues, road design flaws, faulty brakes or steering columns, tire blowouts, manufacturing defects, medical emergencies, etc. Even though people tend to just assume these crashes are always the driver’s fault, experienced accident reconstructionists let the evidence speak for itself so nothing slips through the cracks. Common or not, the victim’s loved ones deserve to know they’re getting the full story, and that can’t happen when folks jump to conclusions. Hopefully authorities here were prudent enough not to make such hasty conclusions.
