An investigation is underway into a car accident that left one person injured during the evening hours of October 21st. According to official reports, Joaquin Acosta was travelling in a Toyota Corolla on Sam Houston Pkwy N. in the northbound lanes, at the Kempwood Dr. intersection, when a Mercedes E350 coming from the west on Kempwood failed to yield the right-of-way and was struck by Acosta.
As a result of the impact, both vehicles sustained significant damage. When first responders arrived on the scene, they found that Acosta had sustained serious injuries and transported him to the hospital. At this time there has been no further information released about the accident, including the status of Acosta’s injuries and whether any charges or citations will be filed.
