Moore County, TX — January 12, 2024, Jimmy Lamb was killed in a single-car accident at approximately 7:00 p.m. along F.M. 281.
According to authorities, 82-year-old Sunray man Jimmy Lamb was traveling in an eastbound Toyota Avalon along Farm to Market 281 in the vicinity east of Etter when the accident took place.
Officials indicate that, for unknown reasons, the Avalon failed to safely maintain its lane of travel. It reportedly veered right, crossed over the westbound lane, and entered the ditch on the north side of the road. The vehicle was then overcorrected, resulting in the Avalon overturning and going into a roll, coming to a stop upside down in the middle of the roadway. Lamb was reportedly ejected from the vehicle during the accident. He incurred apparently fatal injuries, having been declared deceased at the scene.
