El Paso, TX — November 4, 2023, Jesus Torres and two other people were injured in a truck accident just before midnight along Interstate Highway 10.
According to reports, 19-year-old Jesus Torres was traveling in an eastbound Ford Mustang on Interstate Highway 10 approaching traffic which was at a standstill when the accident occurred.
For unknown reasons, the Mustang rear-ended a Toyota Camry which had been stopped in traffic. The collision caused the Camry to spin and strike the rear-end of an 18-wheeler in the lane directly to the right. The Mustang also continued straight, still lacking control, and collided with the rear-end of a second 18-wheeler which had been stopped in the lane of traffic ahead. Torres and a 25-year-old man who had been a passenger in the Camry both incurred reportedly severe injuries as a result of the crash. The 25-year-old woman who had been driving the Camry also sustained minor injuries. All three were transported to local medical facilities by EMS in order to receive treatment. No other injuries were reported.
The cause of the accident is under investigation by local authorities. The weather and road conditions in the area at the time were reportedly clear and dry. There are no additional details available at this point in time.
