She was identified Jessica Janet Gallardo, who was behind the wheel of the vehicle in which the juvenile victim was a passenger. Additional details about the pending charges can’t be confirmed at this time.
Grand Prairie, TX — June 23, 2023, a boy was killed and a driver faces charges following a car accident at around 10:45 p.m. along S. Belt Line Road.
Authorities indicate that the fatal wreck took place in the area of the South Belt Line Road and Lakeview Drive intersection, which is just north of Pioneer Parkway.
According to currently available details, the incident happened as a Honda Civic was making a left turn through the intersection. In the vehicle was the driver and a 12-year-old boy. As the vehicle was making the turn, a Ford Mustang crashed into it. The driver of the Ford then allegedly fled the scene, but they later turned themselves in, according to reports.
As a result of the collision, the 12-year-old boy sustained fatal injuries. The driver of the Honda had injuries believed to be non-life-threatening. The driver of the Ford currently faces multiple pending charges, including manslaughter, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, accident involving death, and accident involving injury.
