Houston, TX — July 6, 2024, Jesse Ortega was injured as the result of a car accident at around 7:35 a.m. along the Sam Houston Tollway.
Authorities said in preliminary statements that the accident happened in the 5100 block of South Sam Houston Tollway East.
According to officials, 36-year-old Jesse Ortega was in a Chevy Silverado that was going westbound on the tollway. Ahead, authorities say an unoccupied Nissan Frontier was on the right side of the road. Ortega’s vehicle reportedly crashed into the back of the Nissan. As a result, Ortega was injured.
No other details can be confirmed right now.

One thing to consider is why this vehicle was on the side of the road and who left it there. It might surprise people how often drivers stop for completely unacceptable reasons, creating unnecessary hazards for other drivers. There could be reasonable explanations for what led to this accident, but it’s important people don’t just jump to conclusions because only one of the vehicles involved was moving. There could be more to the story.
