San Antonio, TX — April 9, 2025, Jesse Hartshorne III was killed following a car versus pedestrian accident at around 9:25 p.m. along Braun Road.
Preliminary information about the accident says that the accident took place near the intersection of Braun Road and North Loop 1604.
It appears that 71-year-old Jesse T. Hartshorne III was on foot at the time. Authorities say Hartshorne was crossing the roadway when a vehicle struck Hartshorne. Due to the collision, Jesse Hartshorne was on foot at the time and reportedly crossing the roadway. While doing so, a car struck Hartshorne.
Due to the collision, Hartshorne was killed. There were no other reported injuries. At this time, additional details about the accident are unavailable.

With pedestrian accidents, people are sometimes quick to jump to conclusions. Despite what many assume, though, these accidents aren’t all about who had the right-of-way (important as that may be). Investigators also need to consider possible factors like visibility, signage, road conditions, alcohol, potential emergencies, distraction, etc. Likely or not, it’s important to look at the evidence so that nothing slips through the cracks. If nothing else, the victim’s loved ones deserve to know they’re not missing anything important.
