Tyler County, TX — April 1, 2023, Jerry Lee Myers was injured as the result of an accident involving a commercial truck along FM 92.
Officials said that the incident happened at around 7:40 a.m. along FM 92 in the area of County Road 4120. Details said that 55-year-old Jerry Lee Myers was in a vehicle going southbound along the roadway. From oncoming lanes, an 18-wheeler may have failed to yield as it made a left turn. This resulted in a collision.
Due to the crash, Myers and a woman riding in his vehicle sustained injuries determined to be incapacitating. No other injuries were confirmed. Authorities mentioned there was fog in the area, and lighting may have been an issue. No further information is available at this time.

I certainly can’t offer more facts about the crash beyond what’s already publicly available. But it’s important people understand just how crucial proper accident reconstructions are. When people have serious injuries, it’s possible they’re not able to speak with police right away. That means authorities have to follow up to get their side of the story. Sometimes, officers forget or are just pulled to handle other responsibilities. That means important information could go completely overlooked. The more evidence there is, however, the better one can fill in the gaps and get the complete picture. Hopefully authorities were able to ensure that happened here.
