Batson, TX — November 29, 2023, Jerry Evertt Guedry was injured in a truck accident at approximately 12:20 in the afternoon along S.H. 105.
According to reports, 83-year-old Jerry Guedry was traveling in a northbound Dodge Ram 1500 pickup truck on a private drive off of S.H. 105 just east of the Farm to Market 770 intersection when the accident occurred.
For unknown reasons, the pickup truck entered the highway from the private drive at an unsafe time. This resulted in a collision with an eastbound 18-wheeler which had a trailer in tow. Guedry reportedly sustained severe injuries as a result of the crash; he was taken to a local medical facility by emergency medical services in order to receive treatment. There were no other reported injuries in connection with this incident.
The accident is under investigation by local authorities. The weather and road conditions in the area at the time were reportedly cloudy and dry. There are not currently any additional details available.
