Craig County, OK — August 4, 2023, Jerome Lubango Bienvenu was killed and one was injured following a truck accident along the Will Rogers Turnpike.

Initial details about the crash have been released by the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, saying the crash happened outside Tulsa in a parking lot off the side of westbound lanes of the turnpike.

According to current statements in public media, Jerome Lubango Bienvenu was behind the wheel of a semi-truck traveling on Will Rogers. Due to events not currently clear, the truck lost control and ran off-road, careening into a parking lot. Officials say Bienvenu’s truck then crashed into another semi-truck.

As a result of the accident, Bienvenu sustained injuries which ultimately proved fatal. The driver in the other truck had unspecified injuries and was taken to a hospital by emergency responders. There did not appear to be any other confirmed injuries. At this time, the cause of the crash remains under investigation.
