Lubbock County, TX — November 29, 2023, Jermaine Nord was killed in a pedestrian truck accident just before 3 a.m. along Interstate 27.
According to authorities, Jermaine Nord—age 34—had been involved in a separate accident directly previous; his disabled vehicle had come to rest in the center median of the interstate.
For unknown reasons, Nord entered the northbound lanes of the interstate on foot in an attempt to cross, but was struck by an 18-wheeler which had been traveling in the right-most lane. Nord was declared deceased at the scene of the accident. No other injuries were reported.
