Abilene, TX — March 22, 2024, Jeremy Wayne Corley was injured in a motorcycle versus car accident at approximately 12:50 p.m. along South 1st Street.
According to authorities, 38-year-old Jeremy Wayne Corley was traveling on a westbound motorcycle along South 1st Street at the Grape Street intersection when the accident took place.
Officials indicate that, for as yet unknown reasons, a Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck which had been eastbound on 1st Street attempted a left turn onto northbound Grape Street at an apparently unsafe time, failing to yield the right of way to westbound traffic. This resulted in a collision between the front-right corner of the pickup truck and the front-end of the motorcycle.
Corley incurred suspected severe injuries as a result of the wreck. He was transported to a local medical facility by EMS in order to receive necessary treatment. No other injuries have been reported.
