Commentary by Attorney Michael Grossman
A crash involving a large vehicle like a bus can be more challenging than people realize. It’s not just a big car accident. It can involve things like driver training, maintenance, vehicle defects, Local laws regarding government vehicles, etc. As such, one important step is to secure as much evidence as early as possible. A lot evidence can be time-sensitive, so if authorities only focus on clearing the scene, they might let something important slip through the cracks. A second set of eyes may simply confirm authorities already did a good job here, but they could also prove crucial for making sure important evidence is brought to light before it’s lost.
