Harrison County, TX — June 23, 2023, Jennifer Boykin was killed and Joanna Ramirez, Ulises Hernandez Vazquez, and one other were hurt in a car accident on F.M. 450.
Initial details about the crash indicate that it happened at approximately 6:11 p.m. in the area of F.M. 450 and F.M. 968.
According to officials, 23-year-old Ulises Hernandez Vazquez and 22-year-old Joanna Ramirez were in a Chevy Silverado that was reportedly going eastbound along F.M. 968. At the intersection, the Silverado and a southbound Honda Fit collided.
Due to the collision, a passenger in the Honda sustained fatal injuries. Authorities identified that person as 48-year-old Jennifer Boykin. The driver of the Honda reportedly had incapacitating injuries. Ramirez also was said to have incapacitating injuries while Hernandez Vazquez had injuries described as non-incapacitating.
At this time, authorities reported that disregarding a stop sign and a alcohol may be contributing factors in the crash. This cannot be confirmed pending further investigations.
