Nicholas County, WV — May 24, 2023, Jedediah Shane McCutcheon was killed in an accident involving a truck on Route 39 in Nicholas County, WV.

Authorities say that on May 24, a pedestrian was hit by a semi-truck shortly after 4:00 in the morning on Route 39. According to reports, the semi-truck was traveling east on the roadway when it struck the pedestrian.

Investigators have not determined what caused the accident. Officials confirmed the pedestrian, 42-year-old Jedediah Shane McCutcheon, sustained severe injuries in the accident and did not survive.

No other injuries were reported.
