Commentary by Attorney Michael Grossman
All anyone can hope for following a serious wreck is that authorities will be taking things seriously and making sure all the facts become clear. But with motorcycle wrecks, there can be a concern of that not happening. It’s not that authorities can’t do their jobs. It’s just that people can sometimes have a negative view of motorcyclists simply because they think all motorcyclists are reckless drivers. I know from experience that’s an unfair misconception, but it doesn’t change the fact that negative bias can have a serious effect on investigations. Are authorities here making sure not to let any sort of bias stand between them and the evidence?
