Fort Worth, TX — January 30, 2025, Jason Knight was killed as the result of a car accident at around 1:35 a.m. along Interstate 20.
According to initial details, the accident took place along westbound lanes of the interstate in the area of Chisholm Trail Parkway.
Investigators said in their statements that 37-year-old Jason Dawon Knight was in a BMW going along the interstate. Roads were wet at the time, and the vehicle somehow lost control. It left its lane, then crashed into a guardrail.
Due to the collision, Jason Knight was killed. There did not appear to be any others involved in the accident. No further information is available right now.

A concern following any accident involving slick roads is whether or not authorities are investigating beyond that possible factor. Did the vehicle have any sort of defects? Did a tire blowout? Was there another reckless driver who left the scene? Did the victim have any medical conditions? If authorities get tunnel vision and focus solely on road conditions, that may lead them to overlook other potential factors. Even if it’s just to rule out those possibilities, it’s always best to ensure a victim’s loved ones know they’re getting the whole story.
