Rowan County, NC — July 4, 2023, Jason Hall and Sarah McCoy was killed following a box truck accident at around 6:00 p.m. along Stokes Ferry Road.
According to preliminary details released by the North Carolina State Highway Patrol, the incident took place at the intersection of Stokes Ferry Road and High Rock Road.
Investigators said that 52-year-old Jason Avery Hall and Sarah McCoy (age not specified) were on a motorcycle that was traveling through the intersection. Authorities allege that a box truck that was going northbound on High Rock ran a stop sign, resulting in a collision with Hall and McCoy.
Due to the collision, both Hall and McCoy sustained ultimately fatal injuries. There were no other reported injuries. Current reports say that the truck driver is facing a misdemeanor charge for death by motor vehicle. No further information can be confirmed at this time.
