Commentary by Attorney Michael Grossman
Current information suggests authorities recommended the alleged runaway driver face multiple charges for the accident. It remains to be scene if they’re going to be pursuing any other possible charges. For example, a lot of people who leave an accident scene have specific factors they’re trying to hide. Drunk driving is a common reason drivers flee, as are warrants and drugs. Hopefully authorities are focused on tackling this from all angles rather than just settling for the easy route. Anyone affected by a serious accident like this deserves to know there’s going to be some accountability.
