Harris County, TX — May 7, 2024, Jamie Hamilton was injured in a hit-and-run car accident at approximately 6:45 a.m. along State Highway 99.
According to authorities, 39-year-old Jamie Hamilton was traveling in a southbound Buick Lacrosse on S.H. 99 in the vicinity south of Bridgeland Lake Parkway when the accident took place.
The cause of the accident remains unclear. Officials indicate that, for as yet unknown reasons, a collision occurred between the front-left side of the Buick and the front-right side of a vehicle of unknown make or model. The collision caused the Buick to be pushed to the right; it crashed into some freeway dividing barrels, as a result. The unknown vehicle allegedly fled the scene, the person(s) inside failing to stop and render aid of any sort to the victim.
Hamilton suffered reportedly severe injuries as a result of the wreck; she was transported to a local medical facility by emergency medical services in order to receive necessary treatment. Additional details pertaining to this incident are not available at this point in time. The investigation is currently ongoing.
