Tyler, TX — April 19, 2023, James Williams was killed following a workplace accident that happened around 10:30 a.m. along West Grande Boulevard.

According to the Occupational Safety and Health Administration, the incident happened along 610 West Grande Boulevard, just off the intersection with S. Broadway Avenue.

OSHA released an inspection summary which indicates that 42-year-old James Williams was working on a construction site building a retaining wall. OSHA officials say that Williams was undoing a chain from a concrete block when the bucket of an excavator struck Williams in the head, killing him.
