Dallas, TX — June 11, 2023, James Stockton was fatally injured following an accident where a vehicle reportedly hit him at 10:00 p.m. on Lake June Road.
Preliminary reports from the Dallas Police Department indicate that the collision took place along 9200 Lake June Road, which is between the Prairie Creek Road and St. Augustine Road intersections.
According to current information in public statements, the incident happened as 51-year-old James Stockton was along Lake June Road. Authorities suggest that Stockton was attempting to cross the road at the time. In a series of events unclear, one or more vehicles hit Stockton, then left the scene.
Stockton ultimately succumbed to fatal injuries as a result of the accident. No other injuries were reported. Currently, police report that there were two trucks seen on surveillance that are suspect vehicles at this time. They encourage members of the public to come forward if they have information that can lead authorities to the drivers of those vehicles. No additional information is available at this time.
