UPDATE (April 25, 2023): Recent reports confirm that the motorcyclist involved in the crash died as a result of the accident. That person has since been identified as 25-year-old James Rubalcaba. The exact cause of the crash is still under investigation.
El Paso, TX — April 20, 2023, one person was injured as the result of a motorcycle accident at 3:39 a.m. along Resler Drive.
Authorities with the El Paso Police Department said that the accident took place off the corner of Resler Drive and Hempstead Drive. Right now, specific details are limited.
In their current statements, officials say that a person was riding on a motorcycle along Resler Drive. For reasons unclear, the motorcycle lost control and crashed. Authorities described the incident as involving a “single motorcycle,” and authorities made no mention of other vehicles.
Due to the crash, the motorcyclist was taken to a hospital. The nature of their injuries was not specified. It’s unclear whether or not the rider was wearing their helmet at the time of the crash.
