Houston, TX — November 19, 2023, James Midkiff was killed in a hit-and-run car accident at approximately 9:10 p.m. along Houston Ave.
According to reports, 36-year-old James Midkiff was riding a bicycle southbound on Houston Avenue approaching the Winter Street intersection when the accident took place.
For unknown reasons, Midkiff was hit by a white sedan which had also been traveling south on Houston Avenue. The driver of the sedan did not stop to offer aid of any kind; they fled from the scene in the direction of the North Freeway. Midkiff incurred reportedly critical injuries as a result of the accident. Emergency medical services transported him to a local medical center in order to give him the immediate care his condition required. However, he eventually succumbed to his injuries, having been declared dead by doctors on November 22, 2023.
