Finney County, KS — June 5, 2023, James McGowan was injured in a truck accident around 7 p.m. on Bookover Rd. near Anderson Rd. in Finney County.

Sources report the victim’s Nissan Juke and a Kenworth semi-truck were both eastbound on the highway approaching the train crossing just west of the intersection with Anderson Rd. Mr. McGowan’s Juke allegedly rear-ended the semi-truck after it had stopped at the train and had started moving forward again.

James McGowan reportedly suffered minor injuries and was transported to Saint Catherine Hospital.

Reports indicate authorities have not determined the cause of the crash.
