Jim Wells County, TX — June 15, 2023, James Kevin Cain was killed and one person was injured following a single-vehicle accident just before 10:00 p.m. on F.M. 534.
According to initial details about the accident, it took place along Farm-to-Market 534 near Highway 359.
Preliminary statements indicated that 65-year-old James Kevin Cain was a passenger in a Dodge Ram that was going eastbound on F.M. 534. While that vehicle was rounding a curve, the vehicle somehow left the roadway and hit a fence. The vehicle then veered back across the roadway and overturned.
As a result of the accident, Cain sustained fatal injuries. The other person in the vehicle, an unidentified 61-year-old man, had apparently incapacitating injuries. No one else was reportedly injured. Currently, additional details about the remain unconfirmed.
