Harris County, TX — July 10, 2022, James Dollens was killed as the result of a motorcycle accident which happened at around 8:31 p.m. on Space Center Boulevard.
According to preliminary information provided by authorities, the wreck happened in the area of the Space Center Boulevard and Cresta Place Drive intersection.
Initial details about the crash say that 67-year-old James Dollens was on a Yamaha motorcycle that was going northbound along Space Center Boulevard. Somehow, the motorcycle lost control, veering out of its lane and hitting the guardrail. Dollens was thrown from the bike and into the bayou.
As a result of the accident, Dollens sustained fatal injuries. Authorities said that there was a white Honda Civic that was at the scene, apparently stopped and saw Dollens, then left the scene. Authorities claim there was not contact between the vehicles, but it’s unclear why the driver left the scene or what their involvement in the accident was, if any.
Investigations gave no further details.
