Darke County, OH — June 11, 2024, James Davis was injured following a truck accident at around 11:30 p.m. along U.S. Highway 127.
According to authorities, 56-year-old James Davis was traveling in a southbound Dodge Challenger on U.S. Highway 127 at the Ohio 705 intersection when the accident took place.
Officials indicate that, for as yet unknown reasons, a westbound 18-wheeler on Ohio 705 entered the intersection at an unsafe time, failing to yield the right of way at a stop sign. This resulted in a collision between the Challenger and the 18-wheeler’s trailer. The collision caused the trailer to become disconnected from the cab and overturn. It also led to the Challenger catching fire.
Davis suffered injuries of reportedly unknown severity, though they were said to have been non-life threatening. He was transported to a local hospital by EMS in order to receive necessary treatment.
