McLennan County, TX — March 22, 2024, James Dalton Johnson was killed following a motorcycle versus car accident at around 4:30 p.m. along New Dallas Highway.
According to authorities, 54-year-old James Dalton Johnson was traveling on a northeast bound Harley-Davidson motorcycle on New Dallas Highway at the Hogan Lane intersection when the accident took place.
Officials indicate that, for as yet unknown reasons, a southwest bound Chevy pickup truck on New Dallas Highway attempted a left turn onto southeast bound Hogan Lane at an apparently unsafe time, failing to yield the right of way to northeast bound traffic. This resulted in a collision between the front-right corner of the pickup truck and the front-end of the motorcycle. Johnson incurred reportedly fatal injuries due to the accident and was declared deceased at the scene. No other injuries have been reported.
