McAllen, TX — November 12, 2023, Jahir Meza was injured in a car accident at approximately 2:30 in the morning along B.U. 83.
According to reports, the accident took place at the intersection of B.U. 83 and S.H. 336.
Authorities indicate that 20-year-old Jahir Meza was outside of his disabled GMC Sierra pickup truck because of involvement in a previous accident. The Sierra was north-facing in the intersection when it began drifting backwards—allegedly because of loss of power. For unconfirmed reasons, the Sierra was struck by a westbound Chrysler, causing the pickup truck to spin counter-clockwise and strike Meza. He incurred reportedly severe injuries as a result of the incident; EMS transported him to a local medical facility for necessary treatment. No other injuries were reported.
The accident is still under active investigation by local authorities. The weather and road conditions in the area at the time were reportedly rainy and wet. There are not currently any additional details available pertaining to this incident.
