San Angelo, TX — December 3, 2024, Jack Jones was killed and another was injured in a car accident at around 2:30 p.m. along Knickerbocker Road.
According to authorities, 88-year-old Jack Jones was traveling in a southwest bound Lincoln MKC on Knickerbocker Road at the South Jackson Street intersection when the accident took place.
The intersection is apparently controlled by a traffic signal. Officials indicate that, for as yet unknown reasons, the Lincoln entered the intersection at a reportedly unsafe time, failing to yield the right-of-way to oncoming traffic during a left turn. This resulted in a collision between the Lincoln and a northeast bound Kia Forte occupied by a 48-year-old man.
Jones suffered fatal injuries over the course of the accident, according to reports. The man from the Kia also sustained minor injuries. Additional details pertaining to this incident are not available at this point in time. The investigation is currently ongoing.
