Austin, TX — July 27, 2025, Islam Mossaad was fatally injured due to a vehicle accident that happened around 8:35 p.m. on Lamar Boulevard.
According to initial details about the accident, it happened just south of the Lamar Boulevard and Parmer Lane intersection.
Investigators said that 49-year-old Islam Mossaad was a pedestrian. In a series of events which is not clear at this time, one or two vehicles struck Islam Mossaad. Islam Mossaad was killed as a result.
Authorities say one driver was arrested for allegedly aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. Another was charged for DWI. One other person reportedly faces drug-related charges. At this time, additional details are unavailable.

There seem to be a lot more questions than answers surrounding this incident right now. People might be tempted to think everything is resolved now that people are facing charges. Sometimes, though, authorities put so much focus on charging people they forget that the victim’s loved ones need answers. Hopefully they’ve put just as much effort into that, otherwise there may need to be secondary investigations to bring the whole story to light here.
