Temple, TX — May 11, 2024, two people were injured in a hit-and-run car accident at approximately 11:30 a.m. along Westfield Boulevard.
According to authorities, an accident took place at the intersection of Westfield Boulevard and Adams Avenue between two separate vehicles.

An adult woman and her daughter who had been the occupants of one of the vehicles exited their car in order to talk to the woman from the other vehicle. Reports state that, for reasons yet to be confirmed, the other woman became agitated and ended up re-entering her vehicle and fleeing the scene. She reportedly struck the adult woman with her car as she left.
Both the woman who was struck by the car and her daughter reportedly suffered injuries of unknown severity. They were taken to a local medical facility by EMS in order to receive necessary treatment. No other injuries have been reported.
The woman who fled the scene was later located an apprehended, officials state. Additional details pertaining to this incident—including the identities of those involved—are not available at this point in time. The investigation is currently ongoing.
