When it comes to car crashes like this, a common mistake is that folks think they’ll be simple or straight-forward. They can be, of course, but jumping to conclusions only risks letting something important slip through the cracks. Even authorities can make this mistake.
For example, there was this case we had a while back where authorities weren’t very thorough in their investigations due to the crash being seemingly straight forward. One thing that seemed odd, though, is the victim’s injuries were unusually severe given the relatively mild nature of the crash. Through further independent investigations, it came to light the victim’s seatbelt was defective, which was ultimately what led to the injuries, rather than the crash itself.
While a situation like that is less common, it’s not at all unheard of. That’s why it’s so important to ensure there are no stones being left unturned. Otherwise, there could be important information that ends up slipping through the cracks at a time when victims and families most need the facts at their disposal.
