Tolleson, AZ — April 28, 2023, Gwendolyn Brooke was killed in a truck accident around 9 p.m. at 83rd Ave. and Buckeye Rd. in Tolleson.

Preliminary reports suggest a tractor-trailer was stopped at a red light at the intersection. For reasons not yet known, Ms. Garcia’s vehicle reportedly approached the truck from behind and crashed into it. After the impact the car caught fire.

Ms. Garcia, 19, was fatally injured in the crash. No other injuries were reported.

Authorities are still investigating and have released no further information.
