Houston, TX — June 2, 2022, Gustavo Lara was killed due to a work accident involving scaffolding off Williamsburg Lane in Houston.

Investigators said that the incident happened at around 5:00 p.m. at 50 Williamsburg Lane. Online images show this to be a residential road. It appears that 46-year-old Gustavo Lara was doing work on the second story of a structure. While doing so, for reasons unclear, reports claim that Lara fell off a scaffold. Gustavo Lara sustained fatal injuries as a result.
OSHA statements claim the scaffold did not have railing nor was there a personal fall protection system. Lara fell to the ground and died as a result. Currently, records show there five alleged OSHA violations stemming from investigations, and fines of at least $8000 were recommended for the business, which was identified as JJC Construction. Right now, additional details about the allegations and the accident are unavailable.
