Arapahoe County, CO — December 28, 2022, Guillermo Duran-Mejia was killed in a pedestrian-truck crash around 11:30 a.m. on Digicomm Drive in Arapahoe County.
According to officials, the victim was a locksmith called out to assist a semi-truck driver when the two men allegedly got into an argument. The semi-truck driver reportedly got into his semi-truck, struck the locksmith’s van, and ultimately struck Mr. Duran-Mejia.
Investigators report the truck driver then called 911 but failed to remain at the crash scene and attempted to drive to El Paso, TX.
Police reportedly recommended sharing the semi-truck driver with vehicular homicide.
