Williams County, ND — August 1, 2023, a Texas man and woman were killed as the result of a semi-truck accident at around 6:00 p.m. along Highway 85.
According to preliminary information released by the North Dakota Highway Patrol, the crash took place just south of Williston ND along the highway.
Information at this time time suggests that a 43-year-old woman and a 42-year-old man, both from Groves, Texas, were in a Chevy Equinox that was going northbound on Highway 85. Conditions at the time were rainy, and authorities say they believe this led to the Equinox crossing paths and colliding with a Kenworth semi-truck that had been going southbound.
As a result of the collision, both the man and the woman in the Chevy sustained fatal injuries. Current reports have not identified those victims. The truck driver apparently had minor injuries. At this time, additional details surrounding the accident are unavailable.
