Tyler, TX — July 7, 2023, Grover Hall sustained injuries as the result of a motorcycle accident that occurred at approximately 10:18 p.m. on Gentry Parkway.
According to preliminary information released by officials, the incident took place along the westbound lanes of Gentry Parkway (Highway 147) at the intersection of Border Avenue.
Information suggests that 68-year-old Grover Hall was riding on a Harley-Davidson motorcycle along westbound lanes of the highway. At Border, police say that a southbound vehicle failed to yield and pulled onto westbound lanes. This caused the two vehicles to collide, ejecting Hall.
Hall sustained injuries which current information suggests were incapacitating. Police allege that the other driver fled the scene but was later apprehended. There was indication of possible charges for hit and run causing serious bodily injury, and authorities also suggested the runaway driver may have been intoxicated. This has yet to be publicly confirmed or denied. Investigations continue.
