Griselda Chavez Killed in 18-wheeler Accident in Parker County, TX

According to current public information, 35-year-old Griselda Chavez was the driver of a Peterbilt tractor-trailer going along eastbound I-20. Details say it was raining at the time. Up ahead of Chavez, there had been a previous crash which left a Chevy Malibu disabled without its lights along the right lane of travel. It appears Chavez did not see the disabled vehicle in time, and the truck crashed into the Chevy. The truck then lost control and overturned onto its side, sliding into the guardrail.

Due to this, Chavez sustained fatal injuries. The other driver’s condition wasn’t specified.

Currently, there are no details about what caused the preliminary crash, nor have authorities confirmed anything such as drunk driving or cell phone usage. It’s also unclear if they’re examining the victim’s truck for any kind of defects or maintenance issues which may have contributed to the accident. Pending that information, there could still be a lot more to this story that needs to be brought to light if the victim’s loved ones are going to get the answers they deserve.
