Cass County, NE — August 1, 2023, Geronimo Hernandez was killed in a semi-truck collision at Highway 34 and East First Street in Cass County, NE.

Authorities indicate that on August 1, a crash occurred when a Mazda and a semi-truck collided in Cass County. According to reports, the Mazda failed to yield and collided with the westbound semi-truck at Highway 34 and East First Street.

Investigators have yet to determine what caused the collision. Officials confirmed the Mazda driver, 43-year-old Geronimo Hernandez, suffered fatal injuries in the crash. No other injuries were reported.
