Weslaco, TX — December 3, 2024, Gerardo Reyes Gonzalez Angeles was killed in a bicycle versus box truck accident at around 6:30 a.m. along F.M. 1015.
According to authorities, Gerardo Angeles was traveling on a northbound bicycle on Farm to Market 1015 in the vicinity between Joe Olivarez Street and Ramiro Guerra Drive when the accident took place.
Officials indicate that, for as yet unknown reasons, Angeles was struck by a box truck that had also been traveling northbound on F.M. 1015. He sustained reportedly critical injuries as a result of the collision and was transported to a local medical facility by EMS in order to receive immediate treatment. However, he was ultimately unable to overcome the severity of his injuries, having later been declared deceased.
