If it’s true that alcohol was a factor here, have authorities also looked into where the alcohol came from? Many accidents like this involve drivers who were unlawfully over-served by a negligent alcohol provider. Here’s why that matters.

In Texas, alcohol providers can be responsible if they serve someone who is obviously intoxicated, and it leads to people getting hurt or killed. These legal avenues provide an opportunity for victims and families to see wrongdoers held accountable and to ensure those negligent alcohol providers will clean up their act before more people get hurt.

That’s why it’s important to know in these situations if authorities have limited their investigations only to the accident scene. If so, they might be overlooking something crucial.
