Commentary by Attorney Michael Grossman
I certainly don’t have more information about this crash than what’s already public. I merely wish to highlight a unique concern when it comes to accidents involving teenage drivers. In my experience, investigations into crashes involving teen drivers can be mishandled. People tend to assume the worst of teenagers behind the wheel.
At the end of the day, a serious car crash needs a thorough, careful investigation that includes even unlikely possible factors, like defects, for example. If authorities aren’t able to set aside their bias and give the crash the attention it deserves, it could lead to important details slipping through the cracks. Hopefully steps are being taken to make sure that doesn’t happen.
