Cameron County, TX — June 2, 2024, Gabriel Arenas Ibarra was killed following a pedestrian versus car accident at approximately 12:30 a.m. along F.M. 802.
According to authorities, Gabriel Arenas Ibarra was attempting to cross Farm to Market 802 from south to north on foot in the vicinity west of the Vermillion Avenue intersection when the accident took place.
Officials indicate that, for as yet unknown reasons, Ibarra was struck by a westbound Toyota Tacoma which had been traveling on F.M. 802. The collision caused Ibarra to incur fatal injuries; he was declared deceased at the scene. No other injuries have been reported.
