Bexar County, TX — August 9, 2024, Franklin Healy was injured following a car accident at approximately 8:30 a.m. along Castano Avenue.
According to authorities, 61-year-old Franklin Healy was traveling on an eastbound Honda motorcycle on East Castano Avenue in the vicinity the Vanderhoven Drive intersection when the accident took place.
Officials indicate that, for reasons yet to be confirmed, an eastbound Ford F-250 pickup truck on Castano Avenue attempted a left turn to head north on Vanderhoven at an apparently unsafe time, failing to yield the right of way to oncoming westbound traffic. This resulted in a collision between the front-left of the motorcycle and the front-left quarter of the pickup truck.
Healy suffered reportedly serious injuries as a result of the wreck; he was transported to a local medical facility by EMS in order to receive necessary treatment. No other injuries have been reported. Additional details pertaining to this incident are not available at this point in time. The investigation is currently ongoing.
