Harris County, TX — April 17, 2024, Florencio Pineda was injured following a car accident just before 7:00 a.m. along W. Sam Houston Parkway.
According to authorities, 37-year-old Florencio Pineda was traveling in a southbound Chevy Silverado pickup truck with a trailer in tow on the Sam Houston tollway in the vicinity south of Interstate Highway 69 when the accident took place.
Officials indicate that, for as yet unknown reasons, a southbound Jeep Cherokee attempted a lane change at an apparently unsafe time. As it did so, a collision occurred between the right side of the Jeep and the left side of the trailer being towed by the pickup truck.
Reports state that Pineda suffered severe injuries as a result of the wreck; he was transported to a local medical facility by emergency medical services in order to receive necessary treatment. No other injuries have been reported.
