Dallas, TX — December 20, 2023, two people were injured in a firetruck accident at approximately 11:40 a.m. along Robert B. Cullum Blvd.
According to authorities, the firetruck was parked at scene of a previous crash on Robert B. Cullum Boulevard which had taken place in the vicinity of the Caswell Street intersection.
For as yet unknown reasons, a motor vehicle rear-ended the stationary firetruck. The driver of the motor vehicle was allegedly ejected due to the impact. They were taken to a local medical facility with apparently severe injuries in order to receive treatment. One of the firefighters who had been in the firetruck at the time of the crash reportedly sustained minor injuries, as well; they were also taken to the hospital for further evaluation.
The accident is under investigation by local authorities. The weather and road conditions in the area at the time have not been reported on. Additional details pertaining to this incident—including the identities of those involved—are not available at this point in time.
